From the North Indian Plains to the Himalayan Foothills

Tandoor-charred kebabs, slow-simmered gravies and Himalayan plates, all made from scratch.

Lajawab means matchless, beyond compare. It is the standard chef Ram cooks to, from the tandoor breads and slow gravies of the north to the momos and Himalayan plates he grew up with.

Our Story

A table of his own

Lajawab is chef Ram's own kitchen, built on years leading the line at Namaste India Bistro in Palo Alto. The cooking is rooted in North India and carries the Himalayan plates he grew up with, momos folded by hand, chhoila grilled over flame, breads pulled fresh from the clay oven.

The name sets the bar. Matchless is not a promise on a sign, it is how every plate is meant to leave the pass.
